Marketing book covers Internet video

I first met Jessica Kizorek when she and I were speaking at the Web Video Summit in San Jose, Calif., last June. I shot this four-minute video of her giving 6 tips for effective Web video.

Jessica has just published a book, Show Me: Marketing with Video on the Internet, which contains some first-rate information about video production. She covers such subjects as the benefits of using video; getting high production values out of small productions; knowing your audience; creating buzz; successful video campaigns; producing for mobile devices; producing Internet video;
video hosting sites; how to get your work distributed; legal issues; where all this is headed; and a bonus section for non-profit organizations.

It's aimed more at marketers and businesses rather than video producers looking for info on the nitty-gritty business of codecs and camcorder settings. But it's a good primer for anyone who wants to know more about the grassroots video revolution.

Here's the book's site, the page for ordering the hardcover on Amazon, and above is a short video (hosted on Ourmedia) produced by her company, Two Parrot Productions, that illustrate a few of the key concepts in new book.
